In 1963 Liam O'Connor decided to take his Fordson Dexta and Pierce Mowingbar and Buckarake and go on hire to local farmers. Coming from a farming backround he knew the ins and outs of the career he was about to take on.

By the mid 1970's his late wife Mary got involved - helping to grow the business. She also became very active in competition ploughing, competing in numerous All Ireland Finals.

By 1982 the 1770 was struggling - luckly there was a John Deere 5820 self propelled harvester on demo and we were the first in Ireland to buy it.

In the 1990's Seanie's brother Richie joined the family firm and they invested in GPS technology.

In 2008 we purchased our first McHale Fusion Baler, which introduced us into baling.


In 1968 he started cutting silage with his David Brown tractor, New Holland double chop harvester, Sudane Trailers with a Zetor Tractor pushing up the silage. He also bought a New Holland 133 Combine - one of the first in the area.

In 1978 we bought our first self propelled harvester, a New Holland 1770 and Clark 35B loader and moved up to National Trailors.

By the late 80's Seanie decided go contracting with his father Liam; he introduced Plant Hire to the business.

2013 - First in Ireland - Pottinger X8 Butterfly mower with collectors.

2014 - Purchased McHale Fusion 3Plus offering plastic and netting on silage or haylage.

Running it today, Seanie and Richie are offering a one-stop-shop for all farmers' needs.
